Figures decorated with small beads and colored yarn, Huichol (we – chol) art has been created for centuries by Wixarica communities, one of the 68 original ethnic groups that did not mingle with spaniards during the conquest. Their techniques have remained unchanged due to the zealous care of their craftsmen. Today it is possible to recognize them for their characteristic figures made up of small colored beads. Its beauty has been a source of inspiration for modern designers, and those who appreciate this art have turned it into exhibition pieces that can be seen in galleries around the world.
