FIGURES MADE UP OF SMALL DYED TEXTILE SPHERES

Figures decorated with small beads and colored yarn, Huichol (we – chol) art has been created for centuries by Wixarica communities, one of the 68 original ethnic groups that did not mingle with spaniards during the conquest. Their techniques have remained unchanged due to the zealous care of their craftsmen. Today it is possible to recognize them for their characteristic figures made up of small colored beads. Its beauty has been a source of inspiration for modern designers, and those who appreciate this art have turned it into exhibition pieces that can be seen in galleries around the world. BLACK CLAY POTTERY

One of the techniques that is most vallued by art collectors. Black Clay pottery’s birthplaceis the state of Oaxaca, cradle of Mexican art and culture.

Each piece with its intricated design is carefully shaped by hand, then set to dry for four days under the sun, and finally, the pieces will be fired in a kiln using wood fires, giving this kind of pottery its characteristic shiny black color.
